Level 1 Sexual Health Awareness
Course Overview
In the UK, over 85% of women and 70% of men have admitted to having unsafe sex in the past year. Overall, 73% of women and 64% of men do not believe themselves to be at risk from STIs, but similar proportions of those who did have an STI also believed themselves to be at little or no risk.
It is important that everyone knows about sexual health, especially those who work in health and social care such as registered nurses, or people who work with young people in education and training. No matter if you are an individual looking for a sexual health course to upskill for personal or professional reasons, or an employer looking for sexual health training courses for staff, we have you covered.
This sexual health level 1 qualification will increase your knowledge and understanding of a range of subjects relating to contraception and sexual health. The course includes sexually transmitted infections (STIs), relationships, different forms of contraception, the reproductive system and how the media can portray things.
